Roy Harper

  • Why I like them: Give him an obstacle and he’ll overcome it. Roy’s pretty much gone through the worst of what DC can throw at him and all in all, he’s a really fantastic guy. The greatest friend you could ever ask for, empathetic to a fault, a big dork who thinks sprinkling Spanish in his daily conversation is cool, awesome single dad, and he’s somehow shamelessly arrogant but charming.
  • Why I don’t: I’ll have you know that I unconditionally love all my favorite characters. xD
  • Favorite episode (scene if movie): Green Lantern #128
  • Favorite season/movie: Outsiders and Titans era pretty much made me fall in love with him.
  • Favorite line: There’s so many but one that always makes me smile is: “Lian— Listen to me— Listen! Did you put another waffle in daddy’s dvd player? No, I’m sure Mister Skootch didn’t… Well, because he’s a stuffed animal kiddo, and daddy’s not quite that dumb.”
  • Favorite outfit: His Arsenal outfit in the Titans V1 series. Yes… That one. His stupid sunglasses and all.
  • OTP: Donna Troy. I really liked their almost-family dynamic. Donna’s a keeper and I think the girl that needed to balance out Roy’s spontaneity. Plus Lian and Donna? CUTEST THING EVER.
  • Brotp: Kyle Rayner. That one issue of Green Lantern pretty much proves how they should have had an arc of much like Ollie and Hal had. They just bounce off each other really well.
  • Head Canon: He can’t cook at all. Like if anything, he knows how to make kid’s meals that require little to no effort thanks to Lian. That’s what his diet consists of mostly, especially when he’s just lounging around being a super dad. 
  • Unpopular opinion: I like the sunglasses. Ollie can shut up. 
  • A wish: New 52 and Cry for Justice never happened. Oh and that the colorists would remember that his eyes are BLUE.
  • An oh-god-please-don’t-ever-happen: Too late. D: DC has a “Roy Harper can never be happy” policy.
  • 5 words to best describe them: Spontaneous, Badass, Enthusiastic, Dysfunctional, Goober
  • My nickname for them: I honestly just always call him Roy. xD

Heat

  • Why I like them: Meg actually had a pretty big part in this when she introduced me to the game. I’ve kinda always liked the rough around the edges tsundere type but I adore the fact that there’s way more about him than meets the eye. He literally seems like a one trick cannibal due to a special circumstance in canon (TRYING TO STAY AWAY FROM SPOILERS) but there’s so much I’d love to go into but I can’t because I suck at words and I ramble. 
  • Why I don’t: I actually don’t have a reason to not like him. I honestly defend most all of his actions. I guess maybe the fact that he sort of thinks eating people is the best thing ever? 
  • Favorite episode (scene if movie): His mini speech where he kind of drifts into awkward stammering and displays an inability to express any other emotion that isn’t anger. He likes to give an impression that he doesn’t give a damn about people but he’s secretly a big softy for those close to him. 
  • Favorite season/movie: Does not apply? 
  • Favorite line: “You can’t be a comrade alone. That’s ridiculous.”
  • Favorite outfit: He only has one outfit. :P
  • OTP: Heat/Sera. Though I’m sure you already knew that. 
  • Brotp: Ha ha, I don’t know. Thinking back I think Heat and Argilla could have a sort of brotp. If that makes sense?
  • Head Canon: Most of my headcanons can be kinda spoileriffic. I’m trying to think of one that’s just kinda random. Ah, I have a really random thought process about the significance of Heat’s cape and the x painted on the back of it. Like it’s totally a work in progress with shaky grounds and all.
  • Unpopular opinion: Serph and Heat don’t seem like an item to me. Heat respects Serph to the point that even though he knows everything Serph’s done, he’s still loyal to the bone. It’s platonic love not romantic. 
  • A wish: That Atlus would release a Heat figure so I can own one. How dare they make me commission/make my own DDS merchandise? 
  • An oh-god-please-don’t-ever-happen: It kinda all happens though. I wish he didn’t always get the short end of the stick. Poor Heat, he’s been through so much. 
  • 5 words to best describe them: Blunt, Passionate, Short-Tempered, Intimidating, Loyal
